Can you clay bar clear bra

I've read the how to's and DIY's for this procedure and looking forward to do this weekend. Maybe I'll even post a couple pics up, as I have not done so yet and understand it is a taboo for "newer" AZ members not to ;p However, I was wondering for those who used the clay before is it safe to use on the 3M coating?

You're fine. Clay bar everything exterior-wise on your car except your wiper blades and any exposed rubber seals ie: sunroof. Clay all painted surfaces, protective film, plastic, glass. Just don't clay bar the edge of the protective film, it can be a biatch to get the clay off that catches into the edge. That's why you see some guys use thin blue painters tape on painted surfaces, they are taping off the protective film edges.

If you don't use tape, just go slow and make a concentrated effort to stay away from your film edges. If you catch the edge with clay, immediately wipe off with a microfiber towel -- easier to clean the film edge when the clay is still wet from the clay solution.

Thanks for the assistance. I really like using Adam's Quick Sealant on any paint protection film. Easy application and no worries of wax build up on the edges.

I had the clearbra on my black Vette and now on this one and never had any issues with the wax. Pay extra attention to the edges if your Vette is dark in color though. Be sure to get all of the product rubbed in real well or it will show. Not so much, if at all, on the white.
